Clearview Wood Burning Stoves

Instead of having a heat pump an alternative option is a wood burning stove. The concern about the heat pump is the running costs. Even though the efficiency is 1 to 4 (1kWh in gives 4kWh out), the economics & CO2 savings are somewhat different.

Brickwork Construction & U Value

To calculate the U value, the construction of the wall is required and the type of material. Once U is known, then we can calculate how much additional insulation is required to get the U value down further and then calculate the cost benefit.

The Next Step - Keen to be Green ?

We will be holding a public meeting on Tuesday 31st March 7:30pm at Colden Common School to feedback the results of the Greening Campaign, and exploring the next step forward with further saving CO2 savings.
