Information about the Sheep Show can be found at http://www.thesheepshow.co.uk. The site also gives a list of diary dates for the show(s) - there are three touring teams - indicating which dates are still available. Not many are, but one of the 3 teams still appears to be available on June 20th/21st. Although there is detailed information about what facilities the organisers booking the show need to provide, I couldn’t see anything indicating what the charges would be.
Richard & I saw the Sheep Show at the Alresford Show in September 2007 and were impressed by it, by the way the information about different varieties of sheep and what they were adapted for was conveyed entertainingly and effectively, and particularly the way it got across the message about the need to make better use of our home-produced wool and its insulating properties, resilience, and low cost. (A whole fleece at that time was worth less than £1)
It may however be a bit ambitious to contemplate having the Sheep Show at the CC fete at this stage………….?
