DAY2: Who was going visit and deal with the claim?

Topmarx arrived, started a survey and wanted to plug in some drying equipment (impressed), but we couldn't be sure that it was safe to do so.


Again we were expecting a call at 10am, but then promised a call by 12 noon from someone who was going to "deal with it", but given the extensive damage, was beyond her remit.


Another sleepless night.

DAY3: Through to Level 3 at the insurance company

We sort of worked out that there were levels within the insurance company that could only deal with certain types of claim based on the level of damage. We eventually got through to the right team who

We had managed to get our plumber in the previous day to switch off the water and worked out that our house received 145,000 litres of water - that's a swimming pool's worth of water (25m x 3m x 2m).
